Moussa Niakhaté après le match : « On veut toujours gagner, mais la performance reste positive »

Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the match, Moussa Niakhaté offered his analysis. The Senegalese defender expressed both his overall satisfaction and his constant desire to improve, both collectively and individually.

“I’m happy, but also a little surprised,” the player said, referring to the team’s momentum since the start of the season. “It’s a long road, but I’m really happy with what we’re building.”

Beyond the purely footballing aspect, Moussa Niakhaté emphasized the importance of the human element within the group. "On a personal level, it's a group with very good values. You can feel the positive atmosphere, and integration is very easy," he explained. A healthy environment which, according to him, facilitates adaptation and strengthens cohesion.

When asked about the team's competitive mindset, the center-back remained clear: "We always want to win matches. When we play, it's to win." Even if the result wasn't entirely up to expectations, the performance was still encouraging. "The way we played today was very positive. Of course, there are details to correct, but I'm satisfied with the performance."

Among these details, efficiency in decisive areas emerges as a key area for improvement. "We can always do better, especially in front of goal," he acknowledges, while highlighting the team's collective response. "The fact that we were able to get back into the game gives us confidence to continue working and progressing."

Aware of the demands of African football, Moussa Niakhaté emphasizes the need for rigorous preparation. "In Africa, it's never easy. You have to prepare matches well and keep learning."

Now, the objective is clear: to maintain the same intensity and determination in the upcoming matches. "We will approach the next games with the same seriousness. I hope that this will bring us smiles very soon, God willing," he concluded.
