NBA: nouveau record pour LeBron James, celui du nombre de paniers marqués
"King" LeBron James seized a new record Thursday night, that of the number of baskets scored in the NBA regular season, surpassing the 15,837 baskets of the legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Three years ago, LeBron James seized the most significant record, that of the number of points scored, already surpassing Abdul-Jabbar, who had set a bar long considered insurmountable at 38,387 points.
LeBron had broken this record with a much smaller number of baskets made, having benefited from the three-point shot, which appeared during Abdul-Jabbar's career, of which he had only made... one!
On Thursday night, against Denver, the 41-year-old Los Angeles Lakers veteran, in his 23rd NBA season, another record, surpassed 15,837 baskets at the end of the first quarter with a mid-range jump shot after turning to face the basket.
With 7 successful shots (16 points, 8 assists) in the Lakers' 120-113 loss, LeBron James raised the record to 15,842 field goals made.
The four-time NBA champion had a scare at the end of the game, complaining of a left elbow injury after a fall, before returning to the court.
