Nicolas Jackson : « Quand on joue pour un grand club, la pression est toujours présente, mais»

On loan this season from Chelsea to Bayern Munich, the Senegalese striker, Nicolas Jackson, spoke to the communications department of his new team about his adaptation within the Bavarian club and about the inspiration he draws from his idols and his teammate Harry Kane.

"When you play for a big club like Bayern, the pressure is always there, I experienced it at Chelsea. Here, the fans want goals, they want titles," explains the former Villarreal player.

"But for me, the most important thing is to stay focused and concentrate fully on the team. I want to bring joy to our supporters and justify the trust they place in us," he says.

Jackson also spoke about the privilege of playing alongside Harry Kane on a daily basis. "When I was young, I admired Harry," he recalled. "As a striker, I always closely followed players like him. I can mention other role models, such as Lewandowski, Suárez, Agüero, Balotelli, and Drogba. Playing with him on the same team is a source of pride for me; it motivates me. He inspires me a lot, I learn from him every day, and I try to emulate some of his qualities."

The Senegalese player also hasn't forgotten those who shaped his footballing childhood. "I was called 'Neymar' because I was always dribbling and playing with the ball, like a child having fun. But as I grew up, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Ronaldo Nazário became my biggest idols. I spent all my time watching their videos," he recalls.

With this mindset, Nicolas Jackson hopes to establish himself at Bayern and continue his progress in an environment where competition and demands are at the highest level.
