Objectif pour le Mondial-2026 : Philippe Diallo fixe le cap des Bleus
With the 2026 World Cup approaching, the French Football Federation (FFF) is sticking to its guns. Twelve days before France's opening match against Senegal, FFF president Philippe Diallo reiterated the official ambitions of French football in an interview with "L'Équipe".
No overbidding, despite the high expectations surrounding Didier Deschamps' men. The French national team manager confirmed a roadmap already known, structured around three levels of objectives.
"The objectives are always the same for the French team. Budgetarily, it's a quarter-final. Sportingly, it's the semi-final. And in their minds, it's a new star," he explained.
These ambitions are measured on an institutional level, but they contrast with the popular demand surrounding Les Bleus, who are often expected to be at the top of world football.
