OM : Eric Chelle donne son avis sur la nomination d’Habib Bèye
After Roberto De Zerbi's resignation, his name circulated widely in the French media. He was rumored to be a frontrunner to take over as manager of Olympique de Marseille (OM), along with Sergio Conceição and Habib Bèye.
Ultimately, it was the Senegalese coach who was appointed by the club's management.
In a recent interview with Canal+, the Malian coach stated that he was happy to see Habib Bèye at the helm of the Marseille club.
"I have no doubt that he will do everything to perform very well with OM."
“I am very happy for Habib. I congratulate him. What he is doing as a coach in such a short time is enormous. He deserves to be at OM. I have no doubt that he will do everything to perform very well with OM,” said the current Super Eagles coach.
He clarifies that he never campaigned to be the coach of Olympique de Marseille, but acknowledges that his ego was flattered when his name was mentioned among the potential successors to Roberto De Zerbi.
