Pêche sportive sénégalaise: une saison prometteuse en perspective
Senegalese waters are preparing to once again vibrate to the rhythm of tight lines and epic battles between fishermen and big fish. This weekend marks the official resumption of activities by the Senegalese Sport Fishing Federation (FSPS), with a rich and promising calendar announced by its president, Massar SAR, in a press release released publicly.
No fewer than six major competitions are planned between now and the end of the year, confirming the renewed dynamism of this discipline, which combines passion, sport, strategy, and respect for the marine environment.
A friendly big game fishing competition will kick things off this weekend. Far from being a mere formality, this event will allow clubs to get back into the swing of things.
The excitement will heat up in mid-November with the Tuna Fishing Competition, organized around Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs). This competition will test the country's best fishermen in a race for precision, technique, and knowledge of migratory behavior.
One of the highlights of this season will undoubtedly be the Abdou Ghoth Diouf Challenge, scheduled for November 28-30. Bringing together clubs from all over Senegal, this tournament pays tribute to an iconic figure in the world of fishing, praised for his commitment, expertise, and unifying spirit.
From December 2 to 14, the spotlight will be on the Ngor Marlin Cup, a spectacular competition dedicated to the hunt for the legendary marlin.
To close this rich 2025 season, the Palangrotte/Jig Competition will take place on December 27 and 28.
Finally, the international dimension of Senegalese sport fishing is already illustrated by the invitation addressed to the Senegalese club by their Croatian counterparts in Zagreb in August 2026.

MARLIN CLUB ? Nos plages sont à surveiller , les réseaux de délinquants , trafiquants de drogue internationaux sont extrémement puissants et ont même infiltré le sport nautique . C'est incroyable dans un pays du tiers monde , tout est permis.
