A young woman was sentenced on Monday to four years in prison for blackmailing South Korean winger Son Heung-min with the threat of pregnancy. She demanded a total of more than 200,000 euros from him.

A young woman in her twenties was sentenced on Monday to four years in prison for blackmailing South Korean football superstar Son Heung-min with the threat of pregnancy, Yonhap News TV reported.

The defendant was accused of extorting 300 million won (180,000 euros) from Son in late 2024 after sending him a fetal ultrasound image and threatening to make her pregnancy public, according to the Yonhap news agency. She then attempted to extort an additional 70 million won (40,000 euros) from him with the help of a boyfriend, identified as Mr. Yong, who was sentenced to two years in prison for attempted blackmail, Yonhap reported. Both have been incarcerated since May.

The Los Angeles FC player refused to pay the sum and filed a lawsuit. The trial took place last month in a closed hearing during which Son Heung-min appeared, local media reported.

En Asie, globalement la justice ne blague pas quel que soit votre statut. Résultat: 1 discipline généralisée. Contrairement au Sénégal où on n'a l'impression que la loi, on seulement est injuste dans certains de ses aspects (par ex. permettre à un voleur avéré de deniers publics est à géométrie variable de rembourser pour ne pas aller en prison alors que le voleur de mangues n'a pas cette possibilité), mais même semble à géométrie variable quant à l'application des peines..
