Renforcement de la cohésion et détection des talents : La Gendarmerie lance son tournoi de foot inter-légions
The National Gendarmerie launched its inter-legion football tournament on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The opening ceremony was presided over in the morning by Brigadier General Assane Beye, Commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie, according to information obtained from Colonel Ibrahima.
This sporting competition is part of a strategy to promote sport and strengthen cohesion between the different units. It also aims to support the momentum initiated by the High Command of the Gendarmerie, which encourages activities that foster unity and team spirit.
The tournament will take place from December 4th to 15th, 2025 at the Mbao Gendarmerie Intervention Legion (LGI) training ground. The event will be hosted by the Dakar Gendarmerie Legion, under the command of Colonel Malick Faye.
Beyond the competition, this initiative also aims to identify the best players in order to strengthen and renew the National Gendarmerie football team in preparation for upcoming sporting events.
