Rennes - Lens : La décision rare prise par Habib Béye après le nul frustrant de son équipe
Following Rennes' frustrating 0-0 draw with Lens on Sunday evening, the Breton club announced that coach Habib Beye had requested that no players speak in the mixed zone. A rare decision.
Rennes are in a dull mood. Having held a frustrating 0-0 draw against Lens this Sunday despite having a man advantage from the first minute, the Breton club has also drawn attention to its media presence. "The coach has decided that no player will speak after this match," revealed the Stade Rennais press officer.
Only Alidu Seidu spoke, but only on Ligue 1+. No Rennes player was therefore supposed to stop in the mixed zone. A rare decision. Speaking to the broadcaster, Beye had emphasized Lens' superiority and taken responsibility for the performance before specifying in a press conference that he wanted to "take responsibility for his team's shortcomings" and "avoid polite speeches." Roazhon Park, for its part, escorted its players to the locker room with whistles.
