Roberto Carlos hospitalisé au Brésil en raison d'un problème cardiaque
Roberto Carlos (52) underwent surgery to have a catheter inserted. The former Brazilian international is now out of danger, but remains under close observation.
While on vacation in his native Brazil, former international Roberto Carlos visited a hospital in São Paulo for a routine medical check-up on his leg, where he was found to have a small blood clot. However, an MRI revealed a heart problem, requiring surgery and the insertion of a catheter, as reported by AS.
Far from the initially planned 40 minutes, the operation dragged on for three hours due to a complication that arose during the procedure. The 52-year-old former Real Madrid left-back is now out of danger. "I'm fine," the 2002 World Cup winner reassured everyone, adding that he remains under close medical supervision. He is expected to remain in the hospital for another 48 hours of observation.
