Sabodala : Un tournoi de football pour promouvoir la paix et la cohésion
A dozen villages in the commune of Sabodala, in the Saraya department, took part in a football tournament to promote peace and social cohesion in this gold mining area often marked by tensions between gold miners and mining companies. The final was played Saturday in Madina, in the presence of all the area's authorities.
“United and committed youth for a Sabodala of peace, fraternity and social cohesion” is the theme of this activity which also aims to encourage young people to participate in the development of their region.
“The objective of this tournament is to invite young people to promote social cohesion and to value the virtues of solidarity and fraternity,” explained Moussa Cissokho, known as “Take,” sponsor of this first edition.
For the mayor of Sabodala, this activity “will revitalize the will of young people to commit to promoting peace and development in this part of the Kédougou region.”
At the end of this football festival, a first in the area, Madina Maka pulverized Makhana, 4-0.
