Sanctions disciplinaires : La LSFP sévit après le match USO–Jaraaf
The Disciplinary Commission of the Senegalese Professional Football League (CD - LSFP) made public on Tuesday its decision concerning the incidents that occurred during the US Ouakam vs Jaraaf match, counting for the 2nd day of Ligue 1. Several sanctions were handed down against the Ouakam club, the commission considering that the facts observed were "of extreme violence".
According to the official report, acts of violence resulting in injuries and significant property damage were observed at the end of the match. The commission also noted the use of flares, reported as early as the 65th minute and again at the end of the game. These behaviors, deemed contrary to the rules of fair play and sporting ethics, are attributed to a section of the USO supporters.
At the end of its analysis, the LSFP decided to impose on US Ouaka two matches behind closed doors, to be played on neutral ground; a fine of one million CFA francs; an additional fine of five hundred thousand CFA francs for the use of smoke bombs.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Senegalese Professional Football League also indicates that further investigations are underway to identify the managers, officials, and supporters who may have been involved in the incidents. These individuals could face individual sanctions.
The club is also informed that the amounts owed must be settled before its next match. The decision remains subject to appeal, in accordance with the provisions of the LSFP's general regulations.
