Africa is shining brightly at the 20th edition of the U17 World Cup, expanded this year to 48 teams. Thanks to this new format, the African continent was able to field ten representatives, a first that testifies to the growing recognition of its importance on the world football stage.

Of the ten teams involved in the group stage, nine secured their place in the round of 32, confirming the vitality and competitiveness of African football at this level. Senegal, in particular, distinguished itself by finishing top of its group, ahead of Croatia; a performance that symbolizes the rise of African football.
These results come at a particularly favorable time for Africa, just days after Morocco's historic victory over Argentina in the U20 World Cup. A strong sign that the next generation is ready.
Even though the competition is only at the round of 32 stage, the message is clear: African football is now on par with other continents. Talent, discipline, and ambition—the continent's young players have everything they need to aim higher.
