On the eve of a crucial away match against Lens, Stade Rennais issued a statement on Friday evening, February 6th, addressing allegations in certain media outlets regarding the potential departure of coach Habib Beye. The statement referred to "slanderous remarks" and called the "attempts at destabilization indecent and dishonest."
Media outlets have launched allegations about the coach's departure.
Earlier in the day, media outlets reported that Habib Beye's departure depended on certain conditions set by the coach. These conditions included his salary for this year and next, as well as a percentage of any future transfer fees for Kader Meïté and Jérémie Jacquet. Stade Rennais dismissed these claims as "fanciful."
