Trent Alexander-Arnold sur Sadio Mané : "Il était similaire à Cristiano Ronaldo"
There are players you'd rather only face in training. Sadio Mané was one of those players for Real Madrid's new defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold. Former teammates at Liverpool, the Englishman spoke highly of the Senegalese international on the podcast hosted by former player-turned-consultant Gary Neville.
"He was fast, powerful, and could score with both feet. He was a constant threat to everyone," the right-back said. Alexander-Arnold believes there is no doubt that Sadio Mané was one of the best footballers of his generation. "He was a perfect striker. He had everything. He was an athlete. I would probably say he was similar to (Cristiano) Ronaldo," the Englishman praised.
The Real Madrid player added: "Sadio Mané is the only teammate I've played with and thought I was really lucky not to have to face him." Even though they no longer play for the same club, the two footballers are now unlikely to face each other, as Mané plays in Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr, while the Englishman is in Spain.
Arnold wasn't the only world-class right-back to praise Sadio Mané. Kyle Walker, the former Manchester City captain now at Burnley, also named Sadio Mané as his worst opponent.
