Before the international break marked by World Cup qualifiers, Senegalese footballers once again distinguished themselves on European and international pitches. In the Côte d'Azur derby, Monaco and Nice drew 2-2. Senegalese full-backs Antoine Mendy (Nice) and Krépin Diarra (Monaco) delivered a fine performance. Long criticized, Yehvann Diouf reassured Nice in goal.

At the Stade Océane, Le Havre, trailing 2-0, snatched a draw (2-2) thanks to their Senegalese goalscorers Issa Soumaré (45th + 1) and Rassoul Ndiaye (79th). Mory Diaw and Arouna Sanganté (captain) also started.

Finally, at the Meinau, Strasbourg, without the injured Mamadou Sarr, crushed Angers (5-0).
