Weekend for Senegalese abroad: Pape Gueye decisive with Villarreal, Ilay Camara scores, Pape Matar Sarr beaten in the London derby.

 

Led by a decisive Pape Gueye for Villarreal CF, several Senegalese internationals shone on European pitches this weekend. Between goals, assists, and individual accolades, the Lions excelled, even if some, like Pape Matar Sarr, experienced more challenging matches, notably in the London derby lost by Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal FC.

Scoring the winning goal for Villarreal CF against Valencia CF (2-1), Pape Gueye was the standout Senegalese player this weekend. His brilliant performance contrasted sharply with Tottenham Hotspur's heavy defeat in the London derby against Arsenal FC (1-4), where Pape Matar Sarr also played.

  France (Matchday 23)

In Ligue 1, RC Lens, with Abdallah Sima coming on in the 63rd minute, lost at home to AS Monaco of Lamine Camara, despite Krépin Diatta leaving the field injured (2-3).
