Wesley Fofana dénonce des insultes racistes après Chelsea-Burnley : « Nous sommes en 2026, rien n'a changé »
After Chelsea's draw against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (1-1), French centre-back Wesley Fofana, who was sent off in the second half, shared on his social media the racist messages he received after the match.
Sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on James Ward-Prowse (72nd minute), Wesley Fofana was subjected to racist abuse following Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday. On his Instagram account, the French international (1 cap) shared some examples. "F***ing stupid monkey. You should be put in a zoo after that red card," one user wrote.
After displaying five of his detractors, the 25-year-old defender denounced the inaction of the authorities: "In 2026, it's still the same thing, nothing changes. These people are never punished. You create big campaigns against racism, but nobody does anything."

Mejbri also denounces racist messages
Hannibal Mejbri, who started for the opposing team in the same match, was also subjected to racist abuse after the game and shared it on his social media. His club supported him with a statement released Saturday evening. These statements inevitably echo the Prestianni-Vinicius incident earlier this week in the Champions League.
