What was supposed to be a routine traffic stop turned into a drug raid this Wednesday morning in Jaxaay. Two individuals on a Jakarta motorcycle were caught red-handed with a kilogram of marijuana.
This Wednesday around 10 a.m., police officers from the Jaxaay district police station were stationed at the Gouye Gui roundabout to conduct helmet checks. During this operation, they stopped two individuals riding a Jakarta motorcycle.
The search uncovered one kilogram of Indian hemp in their possession.
The accused have been identified as MED, born in 1996, a motorcycle taxi driver in Jakarta residing in Keur Massar, and AB, born in 1994, unemployed, residing in Apix.
The two suspects were taken into custody for possession and trafficking of Indian hemp as well as complicity in drug trafficking.
The public prosecutor has been informed and an investigation has been opened.
