Army General Mbaye Cissé was officially inducted into the International Hall of Fame of the US Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, one of the most prestigious military training institutions in the United States.
The event took place on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in the Dial Diop district of Dakar. The ceremony was marked by the presence of high-ranking military officials, including Brigadier General Daniel Cederman, Deputy Commander of the Southern European Task Force (SETAF).
This international distinction is awarded exclusively to foreign officers who graduated from this American institution and have reached the highest ranks of the military hierarchy or held major strategic responsibilities in their respective countries. Des garages de mécaniciens y opèrent illégalement et servent de couverture à des activités criminelles et antisociales : trafic et consommation de drogue, prostitution nocturne, mendicité organisée, tapage permanent, et stationnement anarchique de taxis dans une zone strictement résidentielle.
Malgré une plainte déposée auprès de la DESCOS et de la mairie de Yoff, aucune action concrète n’a été engagée, laissant perdurer une situation qui constitue une menace directe pour la sécurité des habitants, des élèves et des familles.
Nous demandons donc une intervention immédiate des services compétents afin de procéder au démantèlement de ces installations illégales et au rétablissement de l’ordre public.
