La mobilité et le quotidien des Sénégalais en chiffres
As it takes stock of 2025, the global technology group Yango Group examines the dynamics that have shaped mobility in Senegal. The data collected between December 2024 and December 2025 reveals much more than simple transportation statistics; it offers a true reflection of the daily lives of Senegalese people and the evolution of their lifestyles. Unsurprisingly, the capital remains the beating heart of this activity, concentrating the vast majority of journeys made using the SuperApp.

In this dense urban environment, users prioritized accessibility above all else, making the Eco fare the most popular option for daily commutes. This constant quest for a balance between cost, comfort, and reliability is reflected even in the choice of vehicle, as the Peugeot 308 emerged as the most reserved model of the year, appreciated for its maneuverability and perfect adaptation to the constraints of Dakar's traffic.
The platform's integration into residents' daily lives has reached remarkable levels of engagement, as evidenced by the record for the most active passenger of the year with 1,328 trips, illustrating a positive reliance on connected mobility solutions. Whether for short trips or longer journeys, particularly to Blaise Diagne International Airport, these usage patterns confirm the diversity of mobility needs.
This shift in practices also extends to delivery and moving services, highlighting new consumer habits. The success of Wonderful's complete burger, the most ordered dish of the year, perfectly symbolizes this transition to a faster, more urban lifestyle, where convenience becomes a key factor.
Beyond consumption, these data flows create a concrete map of the peninsula's centers of attraction. Travel patterns crystallize around key hubs such as Dakar Ouest Foire, Les Almadies, Yoff, Mermoz-Sacré-Cœur, and the CICES, revealing intense mobility between residential areas, economic activity zones, and leisure spaces.
For Aïcha Niang, Country Director of Yango in Senegal, "this data illustrates how Yango has integrated itself into the daily lives of people in Senegal. The objective is to offer simple, accessible and reliable technological solutions, adapted to local realities and the real needs of users across the country."
Following its successful deployment in Mbour and Thiès in 2025, the group is intensifying its investments to democratize efficient and reliable mobility.
