Transports : Yango Sénégal exclut définitivement un chauffeur après un incident grave
In response to an incident involving one of its service providers, the Yango mobility platform clarified its position and the immediate measures taken. The company strongly reaffirms that "user safety is and remains the top priority" of its services in Senegal.
As soon as the situation was reported, the operator implemented an emergency protocol. Yango Senegal's management stated that "immediate measures were taken and the driver in question was permanently banned from the platform, in accordance with our zero-tolerance policy." While expressing its deep regret for this incident, the company assured that it had provided support to the affected customer.
From a legal standpoint, the platform aims to be transparent and proactive. It confirms that it is "fully cooperating with the relevant authorities" and remains entirely at their disposal to "provide any useful information within the framework of the ongoing procedure."
Beyond this exclusion measure, Yango took the opportunity to highlight the existence of several already operational security features. These functionalities, designed to "support users before, during, and after each trip," include "driver identification, trip sharing, real-time tracking," as well as various assistance and alert tools.
The company doesn't intend to stop there and has announced a phase of stricter protocols. It states that it will continue "strengthening our security standards and protection measures." With this in mind, "new initiatives will be announced soon to further improve the quality of service" and ensure closer proximity to platform users.
