3e journée Ligue 1 - Casa Sports-US Ouakam (1-0) : Birame Coundoul et Stéphane Badji refont le match
Casa Sports consolidated their first place in the elite championship, securing a second consecutive home victory against US Ouakam, 1-0. This win confirms their strong start to the season, following their convincing 4-0 victory against newly promoted AS Cambérène. US Ouakam's assistant coach, Birame Coundoul, and Casa's sporting coordinator, Stéphane Badji, analyze the match.
For former international and ex-Casino player Stéphane Badji, "if you have players who can shoot the ball, I think you have the advantage of being able to dominate the match. In general, if you dominate the match, you have a strong chance. Sometimes, the opposite can happen. You dominate and on a counter-attack, you are beaten ."
The sports coordinator of Casa Sports praised the behavior of the players who avoided the trap of the match against HLM last weekend, during the 2nd day.
On the visitors' side, the assistant coach praised the intense match for his players. The team's arrival in Ziguinchor the day before the game was a determining factor, in addition to the inexperience of most of the young players. "We had a very good first half. The second half was marred by some unfortunate incidents, a loss of possession on the left wing, and the goal came. But that's how the league is; you can win, just as you can lose," explained Birame Coundoul.
Despite this setback, USO intends to play a leading role in Ligue 1.
