Pôle urbain de Diamniadio : Ecotra répond point par point aux critiques de Tahirou Sarr

The company Études-Coordination Travaux (Ecotra) held a press conference this Monday, February 9th, to respond to accusations made by Member of Parliament Tahirou Sarr. He had claimed that the company had not started work on the Diamniadio urban center despite signing a contract in 2015, and had not achieved any tangible results.

These statements, according to Director General Ahmed Ndiaye, are of "extreme gravity" because they are based on erroneous facts. "We are astonished by the remarks of Mr. Tahirou Sarr, which are not only false, but also malicious," Mr. Ndiaye stated.

An invitation to visit the construction sites

Ahmed Ndiaye invited the parliamentarian to visit the company's construction sites to see firsthand the achievements and efforts made by the teams on the ground. "We have always been transparent and open. We are ready to provide all the necessary information to anyone who wants it," he stated.

The managing director also pointed out that Ecotra is a Senegalese company that employs and trains hundreds of people, including expatriates of various nationalities and many young Senegalese in the field of civil engineering. "Most of the managers you find today in other construction companies are young people who were trained within our organization," he stated.

A formal notice regarding defamation

The head of Ecotra called on MP Tahirou Sarr to cease his attacks and focus on more constructive issues. He warned, however, that the company would no longer remain silent: "We will no longer tolerate malicious individuals suddenly seizing the opportunity to hurl the worst insults at Ecotra."

The company's representatives, present at this press conference, stated they were prepared to confront any attempt at denigration. They expressed their pride in belonging to a company that actively contributes to Senegal's development and is recognized for its expertise in the construction and public works sector.

Il faut porter plainte pour diffamation. Ce sont des gens qui se sont fait un nom grâce à l'accusation gratuite pour nourrir leurs sympathisants ignorants qui croient qu'il est un patriote parce qu'il accuse et dénigre.
