Remise de dons à Tivaouane et Thiès : Les femmes de la LONASE réaffirment leur mission d'être plus proches des couches défavorisées
In its social commitment, the LONASE Women's Association (AFLO) has taken a new step, through an initiative to reaffirm its mission to be closer to the people, namely to provide concrete support to disadvantaged communities.
On Friday, February 13, 2026, AFLO chose the three departments of Tivaouane, Thiès, and Mbour to organize the 3rd edition of its solidarity days. The women of LONASE distributed donations worth 5 million FCFA to the Daara Serigne Mouhamadoul Mansour Sy Boroom Daara-Ji in the Fogny district of Tivaouane, to the "Le Sourire d'un Bébé" orphanage in Thiès, managed by director Ms. Bineta Fatim Dieng, and to another orphanage on the Petite Côte.
Donations intended to improve the living conditions of underprivileged children included rice, milk, sugar, oil, shoes, and secondhand clothing. The first edition focused on women in prison at the Rufisque prison, while the second edition targeted orphanages and Koranic schools (Daaras) in Dakar. "It was the Director General of LONASE, Dr. Toussaint Manga, who released 10 million FCFA to support AFLO's social programs, and the remaining 5 million FCFA (in kind) went to the Thiès region," explained President Adjia Seynabou Cissé.
She thanked the Director General of LONASE, Dr. Toussaint Manga, and the entire General Management team for their “constant support of our activities.” She then explained the choice of Thiès, which, she said, aligns perfectly with the program for celebrating Independence Day on April 4, 2026, by providing support to disadvantaged children. As women and mothers, she felt a moral obligation to contribute to the well-being of these young children, some of whom are mentally disabled and deprived of their mothers.
This initiative, notes Ms. Seynabou Cissé, is part of a dynamic of active solidarity, sharing, and social support, perfectly aligned with the values of responsibility and community engagement championed by the institution. The president of AFLO further stated: "These social actions, which contribute to the well-being of Senegalese people, constitute a powerful gesture that confirms that solidarity remains at the heart of CEO Toussaint Manga's commitment. He places paramount importance on corporate social responsibility and continually strives to increase his support for disadvantaged communities."
The beneficiaries, who are not just any children, because they are forgotten and abandoned, appreciated this gesture for what it was worth and expressed their deep gratitude to these generous donors.
