« Elle s’est éloignée vers le large » : L’alerte météo du soir importante de l’ANACIM
After several days of intermittent rain in the western part of the country, particularly in Dakar, Thiès and Mbour, the atmosphere is tending to calm down.
According to forecasts from the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM), the disturbance responsible for this precipitation has moved out to sea, significantly reducing the risk of further rainfall across most of the country between 6 p.m. and midnight. However, some cloudy periods are expected to persist, with a low risk of localized showers over the Saloum Islands.
On the other hand, thunderstorms accompanied by light to moderate rain are still expected in Kédougou, where the alert remains in effect. ANACIM reminds us that vigilance remains necessary in areas that have recently experienced rainfall, where the risk of flooding remains high. In the Thiès region, the Kelle station recorded an impressive 223 mm of rainfall, a record for this area.
