🚨 Abidjan : Le rappeur Black M convoqué pour conduite imprudente
While in Abidjan, the Franco-Guinean artist Black M, whose real name is Alpha Diallo, has been officially summoned by the General Directorate of Land Transport and Traffic (DGTTC).
The reason for this measure was a video posted on the artist's Facebook page on September 3, 2025, in which he is seen driving his vehicle, phone in hand. This behavior clearly violates Ivorian Decree No. 2013-711 of October 18, 2013, which prohibits the use of cell phones while driving.
The Ivorian Ministry of Transport, in a press release issued on Thursday, September 4, reiterated that this offense, widely shared on social media, constitutes risky behavior. The ministry believes that, given Black M's notoriety, such an action could send the wrong message to his young fans, many of whom follow him on digital platforms.
The rapper is therefore summoned to a working session scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 3 p.m., at the DGTTC offices, on the Plateau (Tower E, 16th floor). At the end of this meeting, the Special Commission for the Suspension and Withdrawal of Driving Licenses could decide on a sanction, up to and including the suspension of his license.
This case has rekindled the debate on the responsibility of public figures and the importance of respecting the highway code, especially in a context where the Ivorian authorities are leading a national campaign against road incivility.
