In Burkina Faso, a major operation by the Koudougou Mobile Customs Brigade, supported by the Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, led to the discovery of 81 drums of cyanide stored clandestinely in isolated dwellings near Boromo.
Stored off-road to evade state control, this highly toxic substance posed a serious threat to the population, the environment, and national security. The operation also led to the arrest of one individual.
This seizure illustrates the effectiveness of intelligence, the coordination of services and the determination of Burkinabe Customs to fight fraud, even in the most remote areas of the territory.
