Niger : Le général Tiani nomme un nouveau ministre de l’Economie et des Finances
In Niger, General Abdourahmane Tiani carried out a technical reshuffle of his government yesterday, Monday, January 26. Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine remains Prime Minister, but loses the Economy and Finance portfolio to Mamane Laouali Abdou Rafa. Until his appointment, Abdou Rafa served as the national director for Niger at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
No more junior minister for the Budget
In addition to Mr. Rafa's appointment to the government, it is worth noting the dismissal of the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Maman Sidi. The ministerial portfolio disappears from the government structure along with him.
The other changes following this technical reorganization concern the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Its head, Sidi Mohamed Almahmoud, takes over the Culture portfolio, which was previously under the purview of the Minister of Refoundation and Promotion of Social Values, Cheick Ali Salah Hamouda.
