Palais : pourquoi le directeur de cabinet adjoint de Diomaye Faye a claqué la porte
Professor Sidy Alpha Ndiaye has announced his resignation from his positions as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic and Coordinator of the Legal Department of the Presidency. This decision comes the day after the formation of the new government.
As reported by Libération, the academic, who is also a member of the Pastef cadres movement, justifies his departure with "moral, ethical, and political" considerations. He believes that Pastef, which he presents as the party of "embodiment and sublimation" of the "Project of Rupture," "is no longer fully in executive responsibility" and finds itself relegated to "minor, individual positions."
In the same vein, he considers that "the idea of a political majority, endorsed by the ultimate sovereign, but which does not govern entirely" is contrary to "the very essence of representative democracy".
