On the occasion of International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, 2026, the President of the Republic, Mamadi Doumbouya, delivered a powerful message in tribute to the women of Guinea, Africa, and the world. In his statement, the Head of State praised the courage, resilience, and crucial contribution of women to the development of society.

In a context marked this year by the international theme "Rights, Justice, Action for all women and girls", the President was keen to reiterate the importance of promoting equality and guaranteeing women real access to their rights.

A tribute to the "beating heart" of the Nation

"Women are the beating heart of our families, the silent strength of our communities and one of our nation's greatest assets," the head of state said, highlighting their essential role in building a more just and prosperous society.

Reflecting on his inauguration on January 17, 2026, the President of the Republic reaffirmed that promoting women's rights is one of the major priorities of his term. "This term will also be women's term," he insisted, recalling that sustainable development cannot be achieved without justice and concrete actions in favor of women and girls.

Recognition for all Guinean women

Speaking directly to Guinean women, in cities as well as in rural areas, the Head of State expressed his appreciation and respect for their daily commitment in families, markets, schools, administrations and homes.

"The Nation sees you, the Nation respects you and the Nation counts on you," he affirmed, calling for continued work together to build a stronger and more equitable Guinea.

The President concluded his message by renewing his best wishes to all women on this symbolic day, reaffirming his vision of a Guinea focused on equality, justice, and progress. "Guinea, Our Paradise, Land of Riches and Innovations," he reminded them in closing.
