AES : La Confédération s'indigne et condamne les Sanctions contre des militants panafricanistes
The Ministers of Justice and Human Rights of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES), in a press release published on August 25, 2025 in Bamako, firmly denounced the sanctions and acts of harassment targeting several Pan-Africanist activists.
They notably condemned the European Union's sanctions against Nathalie Yamb, as well as the "suspicious" death of activist Alain Christian Traoré, known as Alino Faso, in Côte d'Ivoire. AES leaders demand a transparent investigation into this death and express their solidarity with the other Pan-Africanist figures involved, including Franklin Nyamsi, Kemi Seba, and Ibrahima Maïga.
The statement condemned "arbitrary decisions" that were contrary to fundamental rights and international law, and called on African peoples to strengthen their unity in the face of external attempts at intimidation.
