Attaques de l'Iran contre les Emirats : des Africains parmi les blessés
African nationals were among those injured in an Iranian missile strike against the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi's Ministry of Defense said in a statement posted on social media.
Three people from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh were killed in the weekend attack, the ministry said, and 58 others were slightly injured. Among them were nationals of Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, Egypt, and several Asian countries.
Iran has launched dozens of ballistic missiles towards the United Arab Emirates since Saturday, when Israel and the United States launched their joint bombing campaign against the Islamic Republic.
Tehran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and several US military bases in the region, including in the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, many foreign nationals found themselves stranded, as air travel across the Middle East was disrupted by the conflict. Major air routes and airspace were closed, particularly in Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, key hubs connecting long-haul flights between Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
As airlines continue to reassess their routes and governments monitor the security situation, travelers across the region remain uncertain, awaiting the reopening of airspace.
