Bouna : un camion de militants du RHDP se renverse, deux morts et plus de 60 blessés
A serious road accident struck the RHDP on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, near Bouna. Two people lost their lives and 62 others were injured, several of them seriously.
The tragedy occurred around 11 a.m., three kilometers from the village of Niandégué, beyond Mansoutéon. The truck was carrying activists from the Birifor locality, on their way to a party meeting in Bouna.
According to witnesses, the driver, carried away by the festive atmosphere, was driving at high speed before losing control of the vehicle. The truck, overloaded with enthusiastic supporters, then suddenly overturned, throwing the passengers onto the road.
Emergency services from the Civil Protection Center quickly responded. The injured were taken to Bouna General Hospital for treatment. The driver was arrested and detained pending investigation.
This tragic accident is a reminder of the need for caution and respect for the highway code, especially during this election campaign period when processions and caravans are traveling at high speed across the country.
