Burkina Faso: The remains of activist Alino Faso are expected in Ouagadougou this Monday.

Burkina Faso : La dépouille de L'activiste Alino Faso attendue à Ouagadougou ce lundi

The government announced the repatriation, this Monday, August 18, 2025 at 2:25 p.m., of the remains of activist Alain Christophe Traoré, alias Alino Faso, to Ouagadougou International Airport.

Found dead by hanging on July 24 in his cell at the Gendarmerie Academy in Abidjan, according to the Ivorian authorities, his death remains contested by Ouagadougou, which favors the theory of assassination.

The government has assured that the activist will receive a dignified funeral and reiterates its commitment to shedding light on this disappearance, which is considered suspicious.
