In just a few days, Burkina Faso Customs carried out a series of decisive strikes against illicit trafficking. Three units intercepted sensitive shipments ranging from electronic cigarettes and explosives to prohibited medicines and equipment.
Thirteen packages containing over 5,000 electronic cigarettes imported without authorization were seized. Faced with the importer's inability to provide the required documentation, the merchandise was immediately confiscated, underscoring the administration's firm stance against irregular imports.
Another bus carrying 310 sticks of explosives and several detonating cords, high-risk material likely to fuel destabilizing activities, was intercepted.
These operations, carried out in just a few hours, confirm the growing strength of Burkina Faso Customs.
