Burkina Faso : Ouagadougou interdit la revente illégale de timbres communaux
The Municipality of Ouagadougou announced, on September 18, 2025, the formal prohibition of the fraudulent resale of municipal stamps around town halls and municipal services.
The Secretary General of the Special Delegation, Charles B. Rouamba, recalled that these stamps should only be purchased at the official counters of the district town halls or at the Kadiogo Regional Treasury.
Reinforced controls and sanctions are planned against offenders, in order to protect users against speculation and to ensure transparency in the issuance of administrative documents.
Citizens are urged to refuse any transaction outside authorized channels.
