CAN 2025- Maroc : entrée facilitée pour plusieurs pays africains

In the run-up to the 35th Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, Moroccan authorities have announced an exceptional measure to facilitate the entry of African nationals.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Senegal announced on Friday the exceptional and temporary implementation of an Electronic Travel Authorization for Morocco (AEVM) intended in particular for Senegalese nationals wishing to travel to the kingdom for the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2025).

This system, which will apply from September 25, 2025 to January 25, 2026, aims to simplify entry formalities and streamline the reception of visitors during this continental event. "Our dear brothers and sisters from Senegal are eagerly awaited at this CAN, which will be a pan-African celebration," the Embassy emphasized in a press release sent to APA.

Two application methods are provided: supporters wishing to attend matches can request their authorization via the "YALLA" application put online by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, while travelers going to Morocco for other reasons (business, tourism, family visits, etc.) will have to go through the official portal www.access-maroc.ma.

Holders of diplomatic, service, special or official passports, residents with valid residence permits, travelers in transit through Moroccan airports, as well as nationals concerned married to Moroccan citizens (with supporting documents) and those aged over 55 are exempt from the AEVM.

The measure will end on January 25, 2026, when normal entry procedures for Morocco will be restored.

According to the Embassy, this initiative reflects "Morocco's desire to ensure a rigorous and respectful organization of the CAN, in a spirit of fraternity and African integration."

The measure also affects other African countries, including Niger, Cabo Verde, Burkina Faso, Tunisia and Algeria.
