Côte d’Ivoire : Dangote Cement ouvre une grande unité de production de ciment
Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of Dangote Group, has opened a large cement production facility in Attingué, a town located 30 km from Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire. The plant's launch ceremony took place yesterday, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Novotel Abidjan-Macory.
Dangote Cement Côte d'Ivoire's CEO, Serge Gbotta, said on the occasion that his company aims to "offer Ivorians international quality cement, produced locally, at a competitive price."
A production capacity of three million tonnes of cement per year
He also discussed the training programs that Dangote Cement Côte d'Ivoire intends to set up for young Ivorian engineers and technicians, through the Dangote Academy, in order to strengthen local skills in industrial management.
The Attingué plant is built on an area of 50 hectares and required an investment of 100 billion CFA francs. It has a production capacity of three million tonnes of cement per year and could generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs.
