Côte d’Ivoire : Simone Gbagbo a officiellement déposé sa candidature à l'élection présidentielle

Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, former First Lady and president of the Movement of Capable Generations (MGC), has officially submitted her candidacy for the October 2025 presidential election to the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI).

She stressed the importance of a "fair, transparent, and inclusive" election, calling for a credible and peaceful election. Simone Gbagbo expressed the hope that the choice of the majority of Ivorians would be respected within the democratic framework.
