Gabon : Michel Régis Onanga Ndiaye élu président de l’Assemblée nationale

Michel Régis Onanga Ndiaye was elected President of the National Assembly of Gabon on November 17, 2025. The former Gabonese ambassador to Senegal thus assumed the presidency thanks to the overwhelming support of the Democratic Union of Builders (UDB), which holds approximately 70% of the seats.

Michel Régis Onanga Ndiaye has held several strategic positions in Gabonese diplomacy, notably at the UN. He is also a former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon.
