Guinean singer Mohamed Seydouba Bangoura, known as Singleton, has been charged with manslaughter following a fatal accident on Thursday, August 28, 2025, on the Coyah-Forécariah road. Placed in custody, he will appear in flagrante delicto this Wednesday, September 3, 2025, before the Coyah Court of First Instance (TPI). A tragic accident on the RN2 According to the Coyah TPI Prosecutor's Office, the accident occurred around 5 p.m. in the Toguiron sector, on National Road No. 2. The vehicle driven by Singleton reportedly hit Mohamed Lamine Traoré, a 62-year-old trader living in Maferinyah, who succumbed to his injuries. The victim's family filed a complaint on August 29, leading to the immediate opening of an investigation entrusted to the Judicial Police Officers (OPJ) of the Coyah central police station. Cooperation with justice According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, Singleton voluntarily presented himself to the judicial authorities on September 1, 2025. After his hearing, the judge ordered his pre-trial detention at the Coyah remand center. Deputy prosecutor Mohamed Aly Condé confirmed in a press release dated August 31 the opening of proceedings for involuntary manslaughter, in accordance with the Guinean Penal Code. Who is Singleton? This case has sparked a stir among his fans, some expressing shock, while others call for respect for the legal process and justice for the victim's family.
