Guinée - Présidentielle 2025 : Le FRONDEG d’Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé dénonce de graves irrégularités
The Democratic Front of Guinea (FRONDEG), led by candidate Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé, published a statement denouncing serious irregularities that occurred during the presidential election of December 28, 2025.
In its statement, the FRONDEG first commended the maturity and civic-mindedness of the Guinean people. “We salute the maturity, civic-mindedness, and high sense of responsibility of the people of Guinea who mobilized massively on December 28 to exercise their civic duty, despite a demanding political and social context. The courage and patience shown by Guineans prove, once again, their deep commitment to the ideals of democracy, peaceful transfer of power, and the building of a true rule of law.”
However, the party asserts that the electoral process was marred by irregularities, both during the voting itself and during the centralization of results. “FRONDEG representatives were denied access to the administrative commissions for centralizing votes (CACV), in flagrant violation of Article 105 of the Electoral Code, which stipulates that candidates' representatives may attend the centralization process as observers,” the party denounces.
The FRONDEG party cites several incidents that occurred across the country: In Fria, the party's federal secretary was reportedly arrested at his home in the early hours of the polls, preventing the vote from being monitored. In Tougué, local authorities, including sub-prefects and mayors, allegedly engaged in acts of voter manipulation. In Fatako, the FRONDEG delegate was reportedly arbitrarily removed without legal justification. In Kérouané, the party claims to have observed the substitution of polling station reports.
The FRONDEG also denounces preferential treatment given to the GMD party, with the presence of “two delegates and three supervisors per office, some of whom are military personnel in civilian clothes, in violation of the principle of neutrality of the defense and security forces”.
In light of these facts, Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé's party indicates that it reserves the right to use all legal and institutional means to defend "the truth of the ballot box" and "the sovereign will of the people of Guinea".
“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to a democratic, just Guinea that respects the political rights of all its citizens,” the statement concluded.
