Le Sahel compte environ quatre millions de déplacés, selon l'ONU

Around four million people are currently displaced in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and neighbouring countries, around two-thirds more than five years ago, the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) warned on Friday.

"These figures reflect insecurity, limited access to services and livelihoods, as well as the effects of climate change," Abdouraouf Gnon-Konde, UNHCR's regional director for West and Central Africa, told reporters in Geneva, calling for "urgent international support."
