L'union Africaine félicite la présidente tanzanienne Samia Suluhu Hassan
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, took note of the results of the presidential election in Tanzania and congratulated the re-elected President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
He expressed his regret over the loss of life that occurred during the post-election protests.
The Chairperson of the Commission reaffirmed the African Union's commitment to the principles of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance, based on respect for the rule of law, human rights and political pluralism, and assured the AU's readiness to support Tanzania in its efforts to consolidate peace and democracy.
