Niger : Le général Tiani dissout la Caisse autonome des retraites
In a statement released yesterday, Wednesday, December 3, the General Secretariat of the Government of Niger announced the dissolution of the country's Autonomous Pension Fund. The presidential decree formalizing the institution's demise dates from November 25.
The Ministry of Finance takes over
From now on, the management of retirement pensions is handled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. A department specifically dedicated to this has already been created within this ministry.
The Nigerien government therefore reassures the national public and pensioners "that pension payment operations will continue normally and on time throughout the entire national territory".
