Présidentielle 2025 en Guinée : La Cour suprême publie la liste définitive des candidats retenus
The suspense is finally over. This Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Judge Fodé Bangoura, President of the Supreme Court of Guinea, officially published the final list of candidates authorized to run in the presidential election next December.
According to the magistrate, this list was drawn up following the order in which applications were submitted, after a rigorous examination of the files received by the judicial institution.

This publication comes after several weeks of tension and protests surrounding the electoral process.
Many candidacies, including those of Lansana Kouyaté, Toumba Diakité and Ousmane Kaba, had been deemed inadmissible by the Supreme Court, provoking the anger of their supporters.
Judge Fodé Bangoura's announcement thus brings to an end the legal phase of the electoral process and opens the way for the presidential campaign, the official launch of which is planned in the coming days.

According to the schedule established by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), the campaign should extend over several weeks before the election on December 28, 2025.
National and international observers are calling for a peaceful, inclusive and fair campaign to ensure a credible and transparent election.
