Présidentielle 2025 : Mamadi Doumbouya parrainé comme candidat indépendant par la quasi-totalité des élus locaux
A new decisive step has been taken in the race for the Guinean presidential election on December 28, 2025. Almost all of the 368 presidents of the special delegations of rural and urban municipalities have signed the sponsorship forms in favor of President Mamadi Doumbouya, expected to be an independent candidate.
According to concordant sources, the duly signed sponsorship lists were submitted this Monday to the General Directorate of Elections (DGE). President Doumbouya's name now appears as the 21st officially registered independent candidate to date, according to our information.
A crucial step in the Electoral Code
This step constitutes a crucial formality provided for by the Guinean Electoral Code, which requires any independent candidate to obtain the sponsorship of a certain number of local elected officials before the final validation of his candidacy by the Supreme Court.
According to electoral regulations, candidacy files must be submitted no later than 55 days before the election, while the Supreme Court must publish the final list of candidates 45 days before the vote.
Despite this massive political mobilization and the registration of his name with the DGE, President Mamadi Doumbouya has not yet officially announced his candidacy. This strategic silence, however, is being counterbalanced by numerous demonstrations of support that are multiplying in Conakry and the regions, calling on the head of state to lift the veil on his intentions.
For many observers, these massive sponsorships demonstrate a solid local presence and a well-organized political mobilization, less than a quarter of the way before the presidential election.

Lui il avait dit ne pas se présenter à l'élection présidentielle mais il va sûrement reculer et être élu . Dommage qu'il y ait plus de démocratie au mali le pays est sous contrôle des militaires avec la complicité de l'armée française. Doumbia étant un agent des services secrets français qui sont présents au mali pour espionner le niger le burkina et le mali.
