Présidentielle ivoirienne: L'ambassadeur de Côte d'Ivoire au Sénégal salue le bon déroulement du vote
The Ivorian presidential election opened peacefully and calmly this Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Embassy of Côte d'Ivoire in Dakar. After fulfilling his civic duty, Ambassador Mamadou Aïdara expressed his satisfaction with the voting process.
"I feel a great deal of enthusiasm and calm responsibility. I have proudly fulfilled my civic duty for my country, which has been voting democratically since 1960. This is a moment of pride and responsibility," he told reporters after voting at polling station 4.
The ambassador called on his compatriots to show calm, discipline and responsibility, while welcoming their strong mobilization.
"Ivorians in Senegal always respond when duty calls," he added.
The Chancellor also thanked the Senegalese authorities for the security and logistical arrangements put in place to ensure the smooth running of the election.
The electoral district comprising Senegal, Mauritania and Ziguinchor has nearly 5,000 voters, including around 3,000 in Dakar.
While tensions were reported in Abidjan, voting in Dakar continued peacefully, with increased security in front of the embassy.
