Risques élevés d’incidents routiers à Darou Khoudoss : Le maire interdit la circulation des camions sur certains axes
To reduce the risk of accidents and the disruption experienced by residents, the mayor of Darou Khoudoss, in the Tivaouane department, has issued a decree prohibiting truck traffic between the town center and the villages of Keur Bakary, Ndong, and Santhiou Ndong.
The city's mayor, Magor Kane, explains the measure by citing the high risk of traffic accidents and the frequent disruptions caused by these vehicles. The decree, in effect since November 19, stipulates a fine for anyone who violates it.
Its implementation is entrusted to the commander of the Mboro gendarmerie brigade, the municipal secretary, and the president of the municipal road commission.
An initiative which aims above all to ensure the protection and well-being of the inhabitants of the areas concerned, according to Magor Kane.
